Manufacturing
Organizational Relationships:
Reports to the Manufacturing Manager as well as works under the direction of the Manufacturing Supervisor and provides valuable support to the Manufacturing Cell Therapy Technologists.
Flexibility required to support the Quality Control Manager and staff as needed.
Works cooperatively with other operational staff to successfully perform overall job duties.
Position Overview:
Maintain manufacturing batch record files including check in and checkout procedures between quality assurance, manufacturing personnel, and file storage.
Maintain inventory of cryopreserved cellular products including storage and documentation of chain of custody.
Maintain inventory of consumable materials used within the manufacturing area.
Maintain and document maintenance of equipment used in the manufacturing area.
Prepare manufacturing reagents within a class 10,000 cleanroom environment.
Practical knowledge of laboratory instrumentation and basic troubleshooting techniques.
Understand and practice universal precautions and safe handling of biological materials.
Minimum Education and/or Experience Required:
Bachelor of Science Degree in biological science or related field, or Associate Degree and commensurate experience.
Prior experience with aseptic laboratory practices and working within a cleanroom environment preferred.
Knowledge of universal precautions and handling of biological specimens.
Basic computer skills including word processing, spreadsheets and databases, including laboratory information management systems.
