Cell Therapy Technologist

Position Overview

  • Incumbent will work in the area of Cell Therapy GMP Manufacturing
  • Skills include:
    • In-depth understanding of cell therapy processing of whole blood, aphaeresis, and other cellular products
    • Skilled in cell culture and aseptic processing; prefer experience in working with closed culture systems and standard blood banking equipment
    • Production of preclinical, and clinical lots of material in accordance with Batch Production Records and approved SOP and adhering to the applicable regulations & standards (GMP, GTP, AABB)
    • Familiarity with T- cell immunotherapies desirable along with other cell therapy products transitioning from development
    • High thru-put analytic flow cytometry and other tests of the immuno-hematopoietic system
    • Participate in performance improvement activities, utilizes resources efficiently and effectively, takes responsibility for own learning needs, bring ideas & concerns to superiors & participates in decision-making
    • Perform simple as well as complex procedures and assays on blood products intended for infusion into patients for immunotherapeutic purposes
    • Recognize, monitor & evaluate technical, instrumental or physical conditions or problems
    • Assist in evaluating new technologies & clinical research protocols

Minimum Education and/or Experience Required

  • BA or BS degree in the life sciences (MT, biology, microbiology, cell biology), or SSBB
  • Understanding of basic Hematology, Blood Bank, and Immunology concepts
  • Minimum of 2 years experience cell therapy processing or 2 years experience in blood banking or transfusion service experience

Additional Experience and/or Qualifications

  • Thorough knowledge in the field of cell therapy processing & cryopreservation
  • Good technical & teaching skills, able to make sound judgment, good problem solving and analytical skills
  • Ability to train others and serve in an advisory capacity to junior staff
  • Capable of working in a fast-paced environment; effective in a diverse work group; willing to work in a rapidly changing work unit
  • Must be able to work independently as well as part of an integrated team
  • General lab skills and knowledge of general lab safety, universal precautions, and radioisotope safety

Senior Research Associate - T-cell immunotherapeutics

Position Overview

  • Incumbent will work in the area of T-cell therapy Process Development and GMP Manufacturing
  • Skills include:
    • In-depth understanding of processing whole blood, apheresis, and other cellular products to generate cellular immunotherapeutics
    • Familiarity with T-cell immunotherapies desirable, along with other cell therapy products transitioning from development
    • Experience in the production of pre-clinical, and clinical lots of material in accordance with Batch Production Records and approved SOPs adhering to the applicable regulations & standards (GMP, GTP, AABB) as appropriate.
    • Familiarity with analytic flow cytometry and other immunoassays such as ELISA and ELISpot.
    • Preference will be given to those with experience in working with closed culture systems and standard blood banking equipment
    • Participate in performance improvement activities, utilizes resources efficiently and effectively, takes responsibility for own learning needs, bring ideas & concerns to superiors & participates in decision-making
    • Perform simple as well as complex procedures and assays on blood products intended for infusion into patients for immunotherapeutic purposes
